Finnish Celebrate at the Swedish World Rally - Pajari Third, Triple Victory in WRC2 Class

Finnish driver Sami Pajari achieved a third-place finish at the Swedish World Rally, marking his second career podium in the WRC series.

The Swedish World Rally concluded on Sunday, with Finnish driver Sami Pajari securing an impressive third-place finish. This achievement marks Pajari's second-ever podium in the World Rally Championship (WRC), having previously finished third at the Saudi Arabian rally last November. The 24-year-old Pajari, who drives for Toyota, expressed satisfaction with his performance and gratitude towards his team for their support after a challenging rally in Monte Carlo.

Wales' Elfyn Evans claimed victory in the Swedish rally, finishing just over 14 seconds ahead of his teammate Takamoto Katsuta, while Pajari trailed Evans by 46 seconds. Additionally, fellow Finnish driver Esapekka Lappi made a commendable return to the WRC, finishing sixth in the same event. Pajari's consistent performance reinforces his status as a rising star in the WRC, as he continues to build on his competitive record within the series.

The success for Finnish drivers extended into the WRC2 category, where Roope Korhonen captured victory, joined on the podium by fellow Finns Teemu Suninen and Lauri Joona, completing a strong showing for Finnish rallying. The WRC circuit will next continue in Kenya, starting on March 12, promising further excitement for rally fans as the competition intensifies in upcoming events.
