Sami Pajari on the podium at the Swedish World Rally โ€“ two fastest times!

Sami Pajari achieved two fastest stage times and is currently third in the Swedish World Rally Championship, behind his teammate Elfyn Evans.

The Swedish World Rally Championship continued under winter conditions with Toyota dominating the event. British driver Elfyn Evans leads the overall standings, maintaining a 13.3-second gap over his teammate, Japan's Takamoto Katsuta. Notably, Finnish driver Sami Pajari, paired with co-driver Marko Salminen, made a strong showing on Saturday by setting two fastest stage times, which places him third overall, 25.4 seconds behind Evans.

Pajari's impressive performance included the fastest time on the fourth stage, where he outpaced Esa-Pekka Lappi by 1.1 seconds. Lappi, alongside co-driver Enni Mรคlkรถnen in a Hyundai, is currently fifth overall but trails by over a minute. Pajari's second fastest time was on the consistently challenging 14th stage, where he narrowly defeated Katsuta by just 0.3 seconds, showcasing his skills amid tough competition.

The Swedish World Rally is set to conclude on Sunday, with three more stages scheduled. Pajari's results so far indicate a competitive and promising future in rally racing, especially as he continues to contend for a podium finish in this prestigious event. The remaining stages will be crucial for all competitors as they aim to secure their standings before the conclusion of the rally.
