Asha Rani relocated from India to Jyväskylä, Finland, two years ago to join her husband, who secured a promising job in the country. However, she was surprised to discover that fluency in Finnish was a common requirement for many job openings. Despite her challenges, Rani's determination led her to eventually find a position in a local bakery, where she now excels as a baker-pastry chef, showcasing her skills honed over eight years in her native country, including at a five-star hotel.

Rani's job search was arduous, marked by numerous applications and rejections due to the language barrier. She began her job hunt on her very first day in Finland, driven by the desire for independence and to support herself. After countless applications and interviews, she secured a position in a bakery thanks to a work trial organized by the city of Jyväskylä, representing a turning point in her career.

Now living her dream as a pastry chef, Rani is grateful for the opportunity to work in a field she is passionate about, despite the initial hurdles presented by relocating to a new country.
