Police Received a Long Letter from the Hiding Place of the Murdered Family Mother, 45 – A Surprising Discovery in the Searches

Authorities have conducted searches based on information received from a suspect in the 2012 murder of a family mother, leading to unexpected findings.

Minna Suominen, a 45-year-old family mother, was murdered in her apartment in Turku in January 2012, and her body has never been found. Last year, a 35-year-old woman, who has since been charged with the murder, described to the police a location where she claimed Suominen's body was hidden. This woman was detained in 2012 due to suspicion of involvement in the crime and confessed to being involved in the disposal of Suominen's remains.

Despite her confession, the woman has always maintained that Suominen's boyfriend was the real perpetrator of the murder, although he died shortly after her disappearance. Initially, the woman claimed to have dismembered the body in cooperation with Suominen's boyfriend, stating that the remains were packed into garbage bags and transported from the crime scene to a vehicle. However, the police found her account dubious due to a lack of evidence supporting the boyfriend's involvement, especially since he did not possess a driving license and no witnesses had seen him driving.

The case remains unsolved, with the police continuing to search for the remains of Suominen based on this new information. The investigation is particularly sensitive given the long-standing mystery surrounding the case and the conflicting testimonies from those involved. The discovery during the recent searches may provide new leads in a case that has haunted the local community for over a decade.
