Traffic Changes in Delhi Due to AI Summit, Students Taking CBSE Board Exams Should Be Cautious

Delhi will experience significant traffic changes from February 16 to 20 due to the AI Impact Summit and CBSE board exams.

From February 16 to 20, Delhi will be under altered traffic conditions due to the AI Impact Summit taking place at Bharat Mandapam and the commencement of CBSE board exams for classes 10 and 12 starting on February 17. The local police have emphasized the importance of pre-planning for anyone traveling during this period, especially students, as there will be traffic diversions, restrictions, and enhanced security due to VVIP movements in the area. The police assured that assistance would be provided to students heading to their examination centers.

To manage the traffic effectively, approximately 4,200 traffic personnel will be deployed across ten zones, primarily around high-security areas such as Bharat Mandapam, Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, and Hyderabad House. The police indicated that certain roads may be temporarily closed to general vehicles during VVIP movements, which could further complicate the traffic situation. Roads including Mathura Road, Janpath, Akbar Road, Teen Murti Marg, and Shanti Path, among others, will see stringent controls.

In light of the external traffic, diversion measures will be implemented for vehicles not entering Delhi, directing them towards Eastern and Western bypass routes. This increased traffic maneuvering and security presence underscores the significance of both the AI Summit and the exams, indicating the dual focus of the city on technological advancements and educational assessments during this timeframe.
