Atvara has been selected to represent Latvia in this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with the song "ΔnΔ."
On Saturday, February 14, during the final voting by the audience and jury, Atvara was chosen to represent Latvia at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with their song "ΔnΔ." The selection took place during the final of the music competition "Supernova 2026," where a total of ten musicians competed for the honor of representing Latvia at the international event.
In the final competition, Atvara secured the top spot, followed closely by the group "Kautkaili" in second place, and Emilija in third. The event featured a variety of performances from the contestants, including acts by "De Mantra," "Elpo," Krisy, Legzdina, Miks Galvanovskis, Robert Ox, and Tikasha Sakama. The contestants' entry into the "Supernova" semifinals was determined by a jury selected by LSM, which included representatives from the Latvian music industry, event sector, and foreign professionals.
Due to safety considerations, the identities of the jury members will not be disclosed until after the international Eurovision Song Contest in May. Latvia's entry, "ΔnΔ," will be performed during the second semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 14, coinciding with Albania's participation in the event. This selection highlights Latviaβs continued involvement in the global music scene and its efforts to showcase local talent on an international platform.
