Vorcaro was charged for contributions to Toffoli's resort and disbursed R$ 35 million, says newspaper
Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, allegedly contributed R$ 35 million to a resort associated with Brazilian Minister Dias Toffoli after being pursued for payments related to the investment.
Daniel Vorcaro, the owner of Banco Master, expressed his frustrations regarding demands he received to make payments associated with the purchase of the TayayΓ‘ resort, of which Supreme Federal Court Minister Dias Toffoli was a partner via his company Maridt. Reports from the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo reveal that Vorcaro reportedly transferred a total of R$ 35 million to the resort.
Intercepted messages obtained by the Federal Police indicate that Vorcaro directed substantial payments to the investment, highlighting his concerns about adhering to these financial obligations. In a WhatsApp message to his brother-in-law, pastor Fabiano Zettel, who acted as his financial operator, Vorcaro questioned the status of these payments, implying that he found himself in a difficult situation awaiting confirmation of the funds. Zettel reassured Vorcaro that the payments could be settled soon.
The interactions between Vorcaro and Zettel raise questions about the financial arrangements and the regulatory practices surrounding large investments in high-profile properties connected to public figures in Brazil. The involvement of a Supreme Court minister further complicates the matter, potentially impacting public perception and trust in judicial integrity and financial ethics amid heightened scrutiny of possible corruption.
