Stolz not only won the event but also set an Olympic record of 33.77 seconds, narrowly beating Netherlands' Jenning de Bood by just 0.11 seconds. Canadian Laurent Dubreuil claimed the bronze medal with a time that was 0.49 seconds behind Stolz, showcasing a competitive race among the top contenders.
