Estonian speed skater Marten Liiv will compete in the 500m, 1000m, and 1500m events at the Milano Cortina Olympics.
Marten Liiv, a 29-year-old speed skater from Estonia, is set to compete in his third Olympic Games at the Milano Cortina Olympics, participating in the 500m, 1000m, and 1500m events. He is one of 30 athletes competing in this challenging field, and he will be racing alongside Swiss skater Livio Wenger in the early pairs of the competition. Reflecting on his past performances, Liiv has not yet found the success he aimed for, finishing 14th in the 1000m and 18th in the 500m in previous Olympics, though he achieved a commendable seventh place in the 1000m at the Beijing Games four years prior.
