A minor girl was targeted by a stalker while returning from coaching classes in Hapur, leading to a police complaint after the incident was captured on CCTV.
In a quiet street in the Nagar Kotwali area of Hapur, a routine evening turned alarming for three minor girls returning from their coaching classes. As they approached a corner, a young man lurked nearby and suddenly grabbed one of the girls, trying to drag her into a secluded area. The victim screamed for help, which startled onlookers and allowed her to break free and escape. The entire incident was recorded on a nearby CCTV camera, which played a crucial role in identifying the perpetrator.
After arriving home, the traumatized girl recounted her terrifying experience to her family, who reacted promptly by filing a police complaint. Authorities reviewed the CCTV footage and were able to identify the attacker as Allah Rakha, also known as Umar, a resident of Garh Gate. This incident not only highlights the ongoing safety issues facing young girls in public spaces but also emphasizes the importance of community vigilance in ensuring their protection.
The swift response from the girl’s family and the police underlines the critical need for effective measures against such incidents, part of a larger conversation in India regarding women's safety. As reports of harassment continue to emerge, it calls for increased awareness and action from law enforcement and society towards creating safer environments for women, especially minors who are often targeted in such cases.
