A 23-year-old driver was injured after his car fell from a height of approximately 15 meters in Volta Redonda, Brazil.
In the early hours of Saturday, October 14, a serious accident occurred in Volta Redonda, Brazil, when a car fell off the Elevado Castelo Branco, a structure about 15 meters high. The incident took place around 5:10 AM, with the driver, a 23-year-old man, suffering injuries and being transported to São João Batista Hospital. Eyewitnesses captured the moment of the vehicle's fall on video, showing it precariously wedged between a guardrail and a wall after the drop.
According to the Military Police's investigation at the scene, they found the destroyed vehicle alongside evidence of blood, indicating the severity of the accident. Additional reports revealed that the driver had already received assistance from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). As per police statements, the young man did not have a valid driver’s license and had lost control of his car when one of the tires burst, leading to the tragic fall.
The news outlet, g1, reached out to the medical facility for updates on the driver's health condition and is awaiting a response. After he is discharged from the hospital, the driver will be taken to the local police station for further inquiries, which might result in legal ramifications given the circumstances surrounding the accident and his lack of a driver’s license.
