Casa Cuiabana Program: New List of Pre-Approved Candidates Released
The Municipal Housing and Land Regularization Office in Cuiabá has announced a new preliminary list of candidates in the Casa Cuiabana housing program, with more candidates still under review.
The Municipal Housing and Land Regularization Office (SMHABT) of Cuiabá has published a new preliminary list, indicating the results of the evaluation of candidates drawn for the Casa Cuiabana housing program. The announcement, made on Friday, noted that of the candidates evaluated in this first list, 189 have been classified as compatible with the program’s criteria, while 420 were deemed incompatible. Additionally, 391 applications are still pending further analysis from the Caixa Econômica Federal, a major Brazilian bank that collaborates with the municipal government on evaluating candidates' eligibility.
Michelle Dreher, the Secretary of Housing, emphasized that this is merely the first round of assessments. New candidate lists will continue to be released as results are received from Caixa Econômica Federal, indicating an ongoing process that seeks to ensure all applicants receive proper consideration. The preliminary evaluation process was conducted by municipal social teams who worked alongside Caixa to make determinations about candidates’ eligibility for the housing program.
The Casa Cuiabana housing program is part of an initiative to support low-income families in securing affordable housing in Cuiabá, Brazil's capital of the state of Mato Grosso. As the program progresses, it aims to provide necessary housing solutions for those in need, reflecting broader governmental efforts to address housing shortages and promote social welfare in urban areas. The evolving nature of candidate evaluations is crucial for applicants, as timely updates will influence their housing opportunities in the city.
