Overnight on Saturday, Russia executed a significant drone attack on Ukraine, deploying 112 drones in total. Ukrainian Air Forces reported that they successfully intercepted 91 of these drones, which included various models such as 'Shahed', 'Gerbera', and 'Italmas'. The drones were launched from multiple locations in Russia including Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, in addition to the occupied eastern Ukrainian territory of Donetsk and the Crimean Peninsula. Notably, a ballistic missile, 'Iskander-M', was also fired from the Kursk region, contributing to the intensity of the assault.

The Ukrainian Air Forces confirmed that among the 112 drones launched, around 70 were classified as 'Shahed' type kamikaze drones. The impact of these attacks was severe, with reports indicating that 18 of these impact drones struck 11 locations across Ukraine, and debris from the drones fell in two areas. Tragically, the strike led to the death of a woman in Odesa as a result of the drones hitting residential buildings and causing a fire, as announced by Oleks Kiper, the head of the regional state administration.
