Acre will receive R$ 178,856.27 to enhance school vaccinations and update vaccination records for children and adolescents under 15 years old.

The Brazilian state of Acre is set to receive R$ 178,856.27 aimed at strengthening vaccination efforts in schools and updating the immunization records of children and adolescents under 15 years old. This funding was authorized by Brazil's Ministry of Health and announced in the official government gazette. Of the total amount, R$ 111,911.47 is designated specifically for vaccinations conducted within schools, while R$ 66,944.80 is allocated for various other vaccination initiatives.

This temporary funding aims to support the development of vaccination strategies throughout the year, as part of Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS). The financial resources will be transferred in a single payment to states and municipalities through the National Health Fund (FNS), ensuring that schools can effectively implement these vaccination activities. The designated funds can be utilized for school vaccinations, updating immunization records, immunization against influenza, and intensifying vaccination campaigns in response to any epidemiological risks.

The approach will involve collaboration between health and education networks, with a primary focus on students in the educational system, ensuring that vaccination efforts are comprehensive and effective. The initiative not only underscores the importance of vaccination in curbing diseases among children but also reflects the government’s commitment to public health in the context of educational environments.
