The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has reported that casualties among Russian troops in Ukraine have surpassed 1,252,020 soldiers as of Saturday morning. In a recent update, it was emphasized that within just 24 hours, the Ukrainian forces managed to eliminate or injure 1070 Russian invaders, showcasing the continuing intensity of the conflict.
Since the start of the renewed invasion on February 24, 2022, Russia has faced substantial military losses, according to the data released by the General Staff. These include the destruction of 11,668 tanks, 24,031 armored personnel carriers, 37,282 artillery pieces and mortars, among others. The reports also detail the loss of numerous aircraft and naval vessels, indicating a significant toll on Russian military capabilities.
The ongoing conflict complicates the process of accurately assessing Russian losses, as information gathering is hindered by the active combat conditions. While the figures provide a stark picture of the battlefield, the actual numbers may vary, underscoring the challenges faced in documenting casualties during wartime.
