Ukrainian army killed or injured 1,070 Russian invaders on Tuesday
The Ukrainian army reported significant Russian military casualties, claiming a total of 1,070 invaders were killed or injured in just one day of fighting.
The latest update from the Ukrainian armed forces indicates that as of Wednesday morning, Russian military personnel losses in Ukraine have reached 1,262,490 soldiers. This data, provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, highlights the intense ongoing conflict and the significant toll it is taking on Russian forces during the renewed invasion since February 24, 2022. The report specifies that within the past 24 hours alone, 1,070 Russian invaders were either killed or injured.
Since the start of the new invasion, the total losses attributed to Russia have also been staggering. Ukrainian officials report the destruction of 11,701 tanks, 24,091 armored personnel carriers, and 37,589 artillery systems including mortars. Furthermore, they have documented losses in advanced weaponry, including 1655 multiple launch rocket systems and 1305 anti-aircraft systems, as well as significant losses in air power, including 435 aircraft and 348 helicopters. The comprehensive nature of these figures points to a heavily equipped and weakened Russian military as the conflict endures.
It is important to note that the accuracy of these figures can be compromised due to the ongoing nature of hostilities, which hampers information gathering. Nevertheless, the scale of loss reported suggests a critical phase in the conflict, with both strategic ramifications for the involved parties and implications for international relations in the region. The Ukrainian army has made it clear that the battle continues, and each reported loss emphasizes the ongoing struggle and resilience in the face of military aggression.
