February 14th at the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina – the main event for alpine skiers and biathletes' sprint

Lithuanian alpine skier A. Drukarovas prepares for his third Olympic appearance in the giant slalom event at the Milan and Cortina Olympic Games, where he has made significant achievements in the sport.

Alpine skier A. Drukarovas, who considers Bormio his home, will compete in the giant slalom, having achieved key milestones in Lithuanian alpine skiing and currently ranking 66th in the world. Last season, he won a stage of the European Cup and is the only Lithuanian ever to place in the top 30 of the World Cup series, having accomplished this three times. His participation in the Milan and Cortina Games marks another historical moment for Lithuania as he previously competed in the 'Super G' event, where he finished in 31st place, a significant achievement since no other Lithuanian athlete has qualified for this Olympic standard in that category.

At 26 years old, this will be Drukarovas' third Olympic Games, following his earlier appearances in PyeongChang in 2018, where he placed 41st in slalom and 59th in the giant slalom, and Beijing, where he was in 20th place after the first run of the giant slalom but fell during the second run. Drukarovas continues to represent Lithuanian skiing on the world stage, showcasing the development of the sport in his country and providing inspiration to upcoming new talent in alpine skiing.
