Sanitary Surveillance bans beauty clinic in Sumaré
Sanitary authorities have closed a beauty clinic in Sumaré due to various health and safety violations, as part of a broader enforcement action.
On Thursday, health authorities in Sumaré, Brazil, shut down a beauty clinic located in the Nova Veneza neighborhood. The action stemmed from inspections that revealed multiple violations, including the presence of products sold without receipts, improper storage of materials, and operation without the necessary health licenses and technical responsibility. As a result, the clinic's operator was taken to the police station for questioning.
This enforcement action is part of a larger initiative, dubbed Operation Pente Fino, aimed at intensifying the oversight of beauty establishments throughout the city. Officials reported that in addition to the closure, a total of seven clinics were given notifications for non-compliance with health regulations across various neighborhoods. Denise Barja, the health surveillance superintendent, emphasized the importance of consumers checking for the necessary sanitary license and technical responsibility before undergoing any procedures at beauty clinics.
Residents are encouraged to report any violations or concerns through the municipal hotline or the official city website. This crackdown reflects the authorities' commitment to ensuring public health and safety standards in the beauty industry amid growing concerns about consumer protection in such establishments.
