Porin announced nominations: Amorose nominated in the spiritual music category

The 33rd edition of the Porin music awards will take place on March 7 in Split, with notable nominations from the Croatian music scene including Amorose in the spiritual music category.

The 33rd Porin music awards, a significant event in Croatia's music industry, is set to occur on March 7 in Split. This year's nominations highlight numerous well-known figures from the Croatian music scene, with a total of 331 albums submitted across 33 categories. Among these, an impressive 111 albums are competing for the Album of the Year award, while 291 songs have been nominated for Song of the Year, showcasing the vibrant and competitive nature of the Croatian music landscape.

In particular, the band Mangroove has made a strong impression by securing the highest number of nominations, competing in six categories, including Best Pop Music Album, Group Performance with Vocals, Song of the Year, Best Vocal Collaboration, and Best Artwork. This reflects not only their popularity but also their artistic merit within the local music industry. Additionally, the awards will also recognize emerging talent, with 75 new performers vying for the New Artist of the Year title.

The awards ceremony will be broadcasted on HRT, with exciting musical performances already in preparation, as announced by Porin's Secretary Ivana Martinac and Executive Director Davor Drezga. The event aims to celebrate not only established artists but also new voices in the Croatian music scene, marking a significant occasion in promoting cultural and musical achievements in the country.
