On Monday, February 16, starting at 10 PM, Highway Illia North and Cantilo will experience a complete closure for 12 hours due to the installation of the eight beams needed for the central structure of the new Labruna Bridge. This major infrastructure project, announced by the City’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Mobility, is aimed at enhancing traffic flow in the area. The construction will ensure that the bridge meets modern engineering standards and improves safety for all road users.

In conjunction with the highway closure, the Paseo del Bajo will also be closed in the northbound direction near Retiro, particularly affecting access to the Labruna and Scalabrini Ortiz bridges. Traffic management plans have been put in place, urging drivers to divert to alternative routes such as Av. Figueroa Alcorta or Av. Del Libertador to minimize disruption.
