The Military Police in Franca, SP, seized over three thousand liters of liquid soap counterfeit products and arrested three men suspected of involvement in the crimes of product forgery and criminal association.

In Franca, São Paulo, the Military Police made a significant bust by seizing more than three thousand liters of a product similar to liquid soap intended for laundry use. The operation took place on the night of Thursday, October 12, leading to the arrest of three men believed to be engaged in the illegal practice of counterfeiting therapeutic medicinal products and criminal association. The police operation highlighted the persistence of such illegal activities in the area and the continual efforts of law enforcement to combat them.

The investigation began when officers approached two of the suspects inside a truck parked on Avenida Segundo Guaraldo, which was found carrying 56 liters worth of counterfeit product packaging. Initially, the suspects claimed that the goods belonged to an online sales company and that they were business associates. However, their inability to provide a valid invoice or prove the legitimacy of the products raised the police's suspicions further, leading to confessions regarding their involvement in forgery.

With information obtained during the initial arrest, police were guided to a warehouse in the Jardim Paineiras neighborhood, revealing the extent of their operations. Here, an additional three reservoirs containing one thousand liters each were discovered, alongside 13 labeled packages and 358 products already bottled but not yet labeled. The case underscores a serious public safety concern regarding counterfeit products, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and regulatory measures to protect consumers from potentially harmful goods.
