On Thursday night, five individuals were successfully rescued after becoming stranded in the Curimataú River in Nova Cruz, located in the Agreste region of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The group initially went to the river in the afternoon to socialize and enjoy the scenery, but unexpectedly rising water levels from recent rainfall made it impossible for them to return safely.
