Public Transport Will Have Special Scheme for Carnival in Macaé

Macaé's public transport will operate under a special scheme during the Carnival to accommodate residents and tourists with increased bus services.

Macaé, located in North Fluminense, is implementing a special operation for its public transport system during the Carnival period, starting this Friday. The Urban Mobility Department announced that there will be an increase in bus lines and expanded operations in collaboration with the service concessionaire to meet the heightened demand from residents and tourists. This initiative is likely designed to facilitate easy access to popular destinations in the city during the festive period.

Key highlights of the plan include adding more buses on prominent routes leading to local beaches such as Campista, dos Cavaleiros, Imbetiba, and Lagoa, ensuring services are available both during daytime and nighttime hours. Additional support will be provided toward the Bar do Coco and Serra areas, specifically aimed at those wishing to enjoy the Carnival activities taking place throughout the city. The intention behind this expansion is to enhance ridership and minimize traffic congestion while ensuring safety.

Notably, the Central Terminal will operate 24 hours a day for the duration of the Carnival, thus maximizing transportation options and encouraging public transport usage as a reliable means of getting around. This strategy not only improves urban mobility but also promotes responsible choices for festival-goers, ultimately fostering a safer environment as the city welcomes a higher influx of visitors during this popular time.
