Generation X is the most satisfied with love and sexual life in Brazil; Generation Y is the least, reveals Ipsos research
A recent Ipsos study shows that Generation X in Brazil is the most satisfied with their love and sexual lives, while Generation Y ranks lowest in satisfaction.
The Ipsos Love Life Satisfaction 2026 study has revealed intriguing insights into the satisfaction levels regarding love and sexual life among different generations in Brazil. According to the research, those born between 1965 and 1980, commonly referred to as Generation X, report the highest levels of satisfaction, with 67% indicating they are either satisfied or very satisfied with their romantic and sexual experiences. This stands in contrast to the Millenials (or Generation Y), who, despite having leading average satisfaction levels on a global scale, are the least satisfied in Brazil, with only 61% expressing contentment in this regard.
Following closely behind Millenials are members of Generation Z, born between 1996 and 2010, showing a 53% satisfaction rate. Interestingly, Baby Boomers, born between 1945 and 1964, also exhibit relatively low satisfaction levels in Brazil, with only 52% expressing that they are satisfied with their love lives. These findings underscore significant generational differences in romantic and sexual satisfaction, likely influenced by the varying societal norms, relationship expectations, and personal experiences faced by each cohort.
The Ipsos survey evaluates the satisfaction levels in 29 countries and compiles them into a comprehensive indicator that assesses love, sexual life, partner relationships, and feelings of being loved. The release of this survey aligns closely with the upcoming Valentine's Day, creating a timely discussion on love life satisfaction across generations, which may provide valuable insights for relationship experts and policymakers considering the evolving narratives around romance and sexuality in contemporary society.
