Allegations of Love Jihad and Sex Trade at Gomti Nagar Police Station, Hindu Organizations Support Victims

Several victims have visited the Gomti Nagar police station in Lucknow to report serious allegations of love jihad, sex trade, and gang rape, but their complaints have been reportedly ignored by the authorities.

In Lucknow's Gomti Nagar police station, a group of young women has come forward with serious allegations involving love jihad, sex trade, and gang rape. These young women have claimed that they have been visiting the police station for the past three days, attempting to file complaints but reportedly not receiving any support from the police. This situation has led to frustration among various Hindu organizations, who express concerns about the lack of action from the authorities. Prominent spokespersons from organizations such as Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and Bajrang Dal have come to the station to voice their support for the victims, criticizing the police for not taking the matter seriously.

The allegations include claims that girls from regions such as Amethi and Barabanki, as well as Delhi, were lured under false pretenses, subsequently coerced into the sex trade, and subjected to gang rape. The victims have described how they were drugged and recorded in compromising situations, which was then used as a tool of blackmail to silence them. Such harrowing accounts have raised significant alarm and concern for the safety and rights of women in these areas.

According to Trisha Tufail, who operates an NGO, a total of 17 girls have already been rescued from this exploitative situation, with estimates suggesting that over 100 victims may exist. The lack of police action and support for these alleged victims has prompted outrage from the community and highlights ongoing challenges in addressing women's safety and the seriousness of such criminal allegations in the region.
