Job Deception, Love Trap... The Conspiracy of 'Love Jihad' Exposed
In Lucknow, allegations of 'love jihad' and forced conversions have emerged, where young men allegedly deceive Hindu women under the pretense of job offers and love, leading to blackmail and coercion for religious conversion.
In the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, a case has surfaced involving allegations of 'love jihad' and religious conversion conspiracies. It is claimed that perpetrators concealed their identities and religious affiliations to target Hindu girls, luring them with false promises of love and job opportunities. Once engaged, the victims were reportedly coerced into conversion and subjected to harassment and blackmail.
According to a complaint registered at the Gomti Nagar police station, the accused initially offered jobs to young women newly arrived in Lucknow in search of employment or education. These young women were enticed with promises of work at a cafe, which subsequently transitioned into situations of friendship and romantic pressure, leading to exploitation. One victim recounted that several girls fell prey to this manipulation, many of whom faced further abuse, including drugging and sexual assault, culminating in blackmail through the use of compromising videos.
One particular victim, who moved to Lucknow to prepare for a police job in 2024, disclosed that her encounter with the accused occurred during this transition. She emphatically stated that she was deceived under the guise of love, ultimately being blackmailed and manipulated into conversion. This incident has sparked significant discussions around the legal and social implications of such practices, bringing attention to the ongoing concerns regarding personal freedom and the safety of young women in urban environments.
