Zelensky visited the Ukrainian-German drone production facility

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited a joint Ukrainian-German drone production facility and received the first jointly produced attack drone.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today his visit to the new Ukrainian-German joint drone production facility, highlighting the successful collaboration between Ukraine and Germany in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). During this visit, he received the first attack drone manufactured through this partnership. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine has been working towards establishing co-production lines in Europe and that this production site in Germany marks a significant achievement in that direction.

The initiative is part of Ukraine’s strategic efforts to bolster its defense capabilities amid ongoing conflict. Zelensky stated that by the end of the year, Ukraine plans to open a total of 10 joint ventures that will be responsible for the production of Ukrainian drones. He expressed that the current facility is already supplying drones for the Ukrainian Army, reflecting a quick advance in producing military technology crucial for national security.

During his visit, Zelensky witnessed the production line and the demonstration of the first flight of the drone, which he noted features advanced Ukrainian technology that has been tested in combat. The integration of artificial intelligence in these drones is designed for various operational roles, including striking enemy targets and providing reconnaissance support to protect Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield, showcasing Ukraine's commitment to enhancing its military capabilities through innovation and international cooperation.
