Pakistan Exposed Again in the UN! This Terrorist Organization Behind the Red Fort Attack
A UN Security Council report links the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed to a deadly attack near the Red Fort in Delhi, which claimed 15 lives.
A recent significant report from the United Nations Security Council highlights the involvement of the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed in a terrorist attack that occurred in the Red Fort area of Delhi, claiming the lives of 15 individuals and injuring several others. According to the news agency PTI, the 37th report from the monitoring team associated with the Security Council’s 1267 sanctions committee noted that one member state reported Jaish-e-Mohammed’s claim of responsibility for multiple terrorist attacks, including a blast near the Red Fort metro station on November 9.
The report expresses concerns over the activities of Jaish-e-Mohammed, particularly following the announcement made by their leader, Maulana Masood Azhar, on October 8, regarding the formation of a separate wing called Jamaat-ul-Muminat dedicated to supporting terrorist activities specifically among women. This troubling development indicates an expansion of the group's operational capabilities and its outreach for recruiting and facilitating potential female operatives to engage in terrorism.
Despite acknowledgment from one member state about the alleged operational inactivity of Jaish-e-Mohammed, the report sheds light on other intelligence findings suggesting that the group remains active, particularly citing an attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on July 28. This juxtaposition raises questions about the veracity of claims regarding the group's weakening and points to an ongoing threat posed by terrorist organizations operating from Pakistan, underscoring the need for international vigilance and action against such groups.
