Stavros Niarchos Foundation: 9th cycle of open meetings in Thessaloniki, Komotini, Sparta for the 3 new SNF hospitals
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation is hosting a series of open meetings to engage with local communities regarding the progress of three new hospitals nearing completion in Greece.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) is one step closer to completing three new state-of-the-art hospitals in Greece and is committed to maintaining open communication about the projects. To facilitate this, SNF has organized a series of open meetings with local communities across Thessaloniki, Komotini, and Sparta. These meetings are part of the foundation’s initiative to keep the public informed and involved as these significant healthcare projects advance.
The first of these meetings took place for the Thessaloniki Pediatric University Hospital, which is notable for being the first dedicated pediatric hospital in Greece outside of Athens, held in Filiro on February 2. Subsequently, discussions continued for the new General Hospital of Komotini on February 3 and the General Hospital of Sparta on February 9. Each meeting brought together representatives from SNF, the Ministry of Health, project management team Hill International, and the construction contractor AVAX Group to provide updates and discuss the hospitals’ expected impacts on their respective communities.
This 9th cycle of meetings underscores the foundation's dedication to transparency and collaboration with local stakeholders. As these hospitals represent a significant investment in healthcare infrastructure, the discussions are crucial for addressing community needs and expectations, and ensuring that public health services are improved in those regions of Greece.
