CBSE Issues Notice Before Board Exams, Must Complete These Tasks by February 14
The CBSE has reminded schools to upload practical and internal assessment scores by February 14 ahead of the 2026 board exams, with penalties for non-compliance.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to organize the board examinations for 10th and 12th grades in 2026. In preparation for these upcoming exams, the board has issued a notice to schools, emphasizing the importance of timely submission of practical and internal assessment scores. Schools are required to upload these scores by February 14, and the board has made it clear that this deadline will not be extended. The intent behind this move is to ensure that there are no discrepancies in the scores, which could lead to delays in the examination results.
The CBSE has warned schools that failure to upload the required scores by the February 14 deadline could result in heavy fines. The board believes that maintaining accurate data regarding both the examination process and the scores is vital for timely result compilation. Should schools successfully upload the scores on time, it will reduce the chances of errors during the final stages of result processing, ultimately benefiting the students by allowing for prompt release of results.
Additionally, the CBSE has clarified that once submitted, there will be no changes allowed in the scores. This policy aims to reinforce the integrity of the assessment process and safeguard against potential manipulation or errors that might arise from last-minute changes. Therefore, schools are urged to ensure the accuracy of their data submissions and heed the importance of the forthcoming deadline to avoid penalties and operational disruptions for both institutions and students.
