The Hu? band returns to the stage
The electronic pop music band Hu? will reunite for a special concert after nearly a decade away.
The electronic pop music band Hu? from Estonia is set to return to the stage this year after nearly ten years in obscurity. They will perform on May 8 at the Hundipea concert hall in Paljassaare. The band aims to create a few special concerts, with the intention of remaining a rare and unique spectacle in the music scene. Lead vocalist Hannaliisa Uusma expressed the group's excitement about the reunion and hinted at a focus on delivering a memorable performance rather than producing new material at this time.
Producer Bert Prikenfeld mentioned that the band's sound has improved, as they are working with original material that has been restructured for a fresh listening experience. This indicates that they are keen to reinvent their sound while keeping the essence that made them popular. The band members recognize that fans are eager to hear classic hits from their early days, which drives their decision to focus on these familiar tracks in the upcoming concerts. Songwriter Leslie Da Bass also acknowledged that while new music is a possibility for the future, their immediate goal revolves around the nostalgia of their established hits.
Having started their music career in 2007 with the single "Kosmos," Hu? gained significant traction with their first major hit "Absoluutselt." As they plan for their return, the anticipation among fans grows, indicating that the band holds a special place in the Estonian pop music landscape and their reunion is a highly awaited event that may resonate well with their audience and contribute to the local music culture in a larger context.
