Mikel Erentxun returns with Duncan Dhu to tour Mexico

Mikel Erentxun will reunite with Duncan Dhu for a tour in Mexico, marking the band's return after 13 years since their last concert.

Mikel Erentxun announced that Duncan Dhu will return to Mexico for the first time in 13 years as part of their 2026 tour, with a concert scheduled at the Teatro Metropólitan on March 19. This tour celebrates 40 years since the band's formation and aims to reconnect with fans, as the band last performed in Mexico in 2014 during a single event at the Auditorio Nacional. The concert will feature a variety of original Duncan Dhu songs, highlighting this unique opportunity for fans to see the music live across multiple cities.

The idea for the tour was sparked last year when the anniversary of the band's founding became a reason to celebrate their legacy. Initially planned as a series of concerts in Spain, the overwhelming demand from fans led to the expansion of the tour to various locations in Mexico, in addition to its original European dates. After 60 successful concerts in Spain last year, the decision was made to further broaden the tour’s scope into 2026.

Erentxun expressed enthusiasm about this venture, emphasizing it as an opportunity to bring Duncan Dhu's music to more audiences and create new experiences for both the band and their dedicated fans. As the first tour focusing on their music after many years, it represents a significant moment in the Spanish music scene and highlights the enduring appeal of Duncan Dhu's hits from the 1980s.
