LPG Drives Dacia's Sales – 58% of Cars with Factory Gas Installation in 2025

Dacia strengthens its position in the price-sensitive segment by successfully competing with aggressive Chinese brands, with a significant increase in sales driven by LPG and hybrid models.

Dacia has solidified its market presence by appealing to price-sensitive customers, effectively competing against aggressive Chinese brands entering the Polish automotive market. The brand’s market share in Poland has increased to 3.75%, fueled by rising interest among individual customers and a robust lineup of models featuring factory-installed LPG and hybrid engines. Sales to individual customers surged by 11.4%, with a total of 12,163 units sold, securing Dacia the fifth position in this channel and a 6.53% market share. Models like Duster, Sandero, and Bigster have particularly resonated with consumers.

A cornerstone of Dacia's strategy remains the promotion of LPG-powered vehicles. In 2025, cars with factory-installed gas engines accounted for 58% of Dacia's total sales in Poland, while hybrids (HEV and mHEV) comprised 32% of the volume. This significant reliance on LPG is particularly evident in the Sandero model, where over 80% of customers opted for the LPG variant, and in the Jogger, where the figure stands at 76%. Notably, Dacia is currently the only brand offering dual-fuel LP engines, highlighting its unique position in the market.

Looking ahead, Dacia's continued focus on LPG and hybrid models illustrates its commitment to catering to the evolving demands of Polish consumers, particularly in a competitive landscape marked by the entry of new market players. With a clear strategy aimed at harnessing the increasing interest in gas-powered vehicles, Dacia is poised to expand its market share further in the coming years. This strategic orientation not only positions Dacia favorably in Poland's automotive sector but also signifies its proactive approach to meeting environmental regulations and consumer preferences for cost-effective, environmentally-friendly transportation options.
