Milita Songailaitė, a PhD candidate and researcher at Vytautas Magnus University, focuses on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in detecting misinformation. In her recent work, Songailaitė and her colleagues examined over 100,000 messages from nine Russian Telegram channels. The results indicated that disinformation was widespread across all analyzed channels, particularly concerning significant events such as the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, Western support, and NATO activities.
