According to data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the service sector in the state of Paraíba recorded the second highest growth rate in Brazil for the year 2025, achieving a growth of 5.7%. The top position was held by the Federal District, which saw a remarkable growth of 7% during the same period. This notable performance in Paraíba indicates a resilient economy, as it outperformed the national average growth rate of 3.4% when compared to December of the previous year.

Throughout 2025, Paraíba's service sector demonstrated consistent growth, achieving positive growth rates in ten out of the twelve months. The months that stood out with the highest growth rates included November at 9.2%, followed closely by April at 8.8%, February at 8.7%, and March at 7.5%. This sustained growth pattern suggests a robust expansion of the service sector, which encompasses various activities such as transport, tourism, dining, beauty salons, and information technology.
