Saquarema will have 43 blocks and 18 shows at Carnival

Saquarema will kick off its Carnival celebrations with 43 street blocks and 18 shows, featuring notable performances like Monobloco on February 17.

Saquarema is set to celebrate Carnival starting from this Thursday until Ash Wednesday, featuring a lively lineup of 43 street blocks and 18 shows distributed across the town's districts. Among the highlighted acts is Monobloco, scheduled to perform on February 17. To enhance the cultural experience, the city hall has allocated R$ 200,000 to support the street block parades, demonstrating a commitment to local culture and festivities.

In preparation for the influx of revelers, the municipality is implementing a robust security scheme involving 540 professionals daily. This team comprises personnel from the Municipal Guard, traffic agents, lifeguards, Civil Defense, and municipal regulation inspectors, all working together to ensure a safe Carnival experience for attendees. This proactive approach aims to maintain public order and assist with any incidents that may arise during the celebrations.

Additionally, the city has focused on health and safety during the festivities by distributing approximately 5,000 kits containing condoms and lubricant, alongside HIV self-test kits available for festival-goers. This initiative underscores the importance of health awareness amidst the celebrations, reflecting an understanding of the communal responsibilities during one of Brazil's most vibrant cultural events.
