On Wednesday morning, a coordinated operation by Detro/RJ and the Military Police's Road Command targeted illegal transport in Baixada Litorânea, leading to the identification and charging of 23 vehicles. Nearly 90 vehicles were inspected during the operation, primarily in the localities of Unamar beach and surrounding areas near Cabo Frio, including Barra de São João, Casimiro de Abreu, and Rio das Ostras.

Detro/RJ President Raphael Salgado emphasized the critical nature of combatting illegal transport to ensure public safety. He noted that clandestine transport poses a significant risk to both passengers and drivers, as these vehicles do not undergo inspections, fail to comply with technical standards, and are often exploited by organized crime.
