Couple indicted for kidnapping and attempted murder of influencer in PI; video shows action
A couple has been indicted for kidnapping, torture, and attempted murder of influencer Pedro Lopes Lima Neto, known as 'Lokinho', following a violent incident recorded on video.
Harkellany Rodrigues de Melo and Helson Sousa Rodrigues have been indicted for their involvement in the kidnapping, torture, and attempted murder of social media influencer Pedro Lopes Lima Neto, known as 'Lokinho', in October 2025. The incident, which took place in the Esplanada neighborhood of Teresina, was caught on video showing gunfire at a gas station and the moment Lokinho was forced into a car. Following the recording of the event, the Civil Police have sought preventive detention of the suspects, who remain at large.
The investigation was initiated after Lokinho filed a police report detailing the circumstances of the attack, which he suggested was tied to a previous altercation. According to the police, Lokinho was ambushed in a parking area where the couple, armed and aggressive, fired multiple shots before assaulting him and forcibly taking him in their vehicle. The threats escalated when Lokinho was allegedly taken to a remote area and faced further threats against his life.
The police are actively searching for the couple, and the situation has raised concerns about violence targeting social media figures in Brazil, reflecting wider issues of public safety and the dangers faced by influencers. The involvement of firearms and the couple's continued evasion of the law have prompted discussions on the need for stronger action against such violent crimes. As authorities seek to apprehend the suspects, the case underscores the intersection of social media fame and real-life peril.
