Niklas Rubin, a 30-year-old Swedish goalkeeper, has confirmed his contract extension with Oulu Kärpät for the upcoming season in the SM-liiga, Finland's top ice hockey league. Joining Kärpät at the start of the current season, Rubin had an option in his contract for an additional year, which he has now exercised.
