In a tragic incident on the Arlindo Bétio Highway (SP-613) in Teodoro Sampaio, two men aged 66 and 45 lost their lives following a traffic accident and subsequent attack by bees. The victims were the driver and passenger in a truck that reportedly lost control, crossed the road, and collided with a slope on the side of the highway. According to the Military Highway Police, the driver was from Paranapoema in the state of Paraná.

After the accident, in a surprising turn of events, both men were attacked by a swarm of bees. Emergency services rushed them to the Pronto-Socorro of Teodoro Sampaio; however, despite the immediate medical attention, they succumbed to their injuries. The police have noted that as of now, there is no official medical report confirming the exact cause of death, which adds a layer of complexity to the investigation.
