Representative from Askon factory reached: Employees of Indoor Group will receive their salaries

Employees of Indoor Group and Insofa sofa factory will receive their salaries, confirmed by the bankruptcy estate's representative.

The bankruptcy representative of Indoor Group and Insofa has assured employees from Askon and Sotka stores that they will receive their salaries following the company's financial collapse. Jari Salminen, an attorney from Eversheds Sutherland, reached out to media while addressing employees in Lahti Thursday morning, amidst the turmoil caused by the bankruptcy.

Salminen highlighted that the process for wage security claims has been expedited, meaning that the payments will be managed by the wage security authority, ensuring affected workers receive their due remuneration despite the bankruptcy proceedings. This timely assurance comes at a critical juncture for the employees, many of whom have already been dismissed as a result of the company's insolvency.

The situation sheds light on the implications of corporate bankruptcy for employees and the necessary legal protections in place to safeguard their earnings. The move to expedite wage payments speaks to the urgency of providing financial support to workers impacted by such corporate failures, reflecting a broader concern about job security and support during economic difficulties.
