DON'T GET COLD ⟩ There is still money available for applications for the renovation of heating equipment

The Estonian Enterprise and Innovation Foundation continues to accept applications for funding to renovate heating equipment, aimed at homeowners in cities where heating periods significantly impact air quality.

The Estonian Enterprise and Innovation Foundation (EIS) is currently accepting applications for funding aimed at upgrading heating systems in residential homes, especially in urban areas where winter heating periods notably affect air quality. Homeowners are encouraged to apply, particularly as many are facing increasing heating costs due to unusually severe winter conditions. EIS service representative Kersti Saar emphasized the ongoing need for assistance to ensure residences remain adequately heated during this cold spell.

Over the past two years, funding for updating heating systems has totaled nearly 9 million euros, enabling over 1,000 households in Estonia to enhance their heating systems. The current funding round has a budget of 4 million euros, with approximately 800,000 euros still available for applicants. This support scheme not only alleviates the financial burden on homeowners but also promotes the adoption of modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly heating solutions.

As many homeowners struggle with outdated and inefficient heating systems, this financial aid aims to facilitate necessary upgrades, contributing to improved living conditions and better air quality in urban environments. The continued availability of these funds highlights the government's commitment to addressing energy efficiency and residential comfort during challenging winter conditions, ultimately supporting a broader environmental initiative to reduce air pollution from heating sources.
