Nexon and Krafton Achieve Record Performance with Long-Running IPs, Netmarble Close to the '3 Trillion Club'

South Korean gaming companies Nexon and Krafton report strong performances driven by established intellectual properties, while Netmarble works towards consolidating its position in the market.

In the context of the 2025 financial results presentation of South Korea's major gaming companies, Nexon and Krafton have showcased resilient performances, cementing their positions as industry leaders. Nexon reported a significant fourth-quarter revenue of 1.16 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 67.4 billion KRW, marking a remarkable 55% increase in revenue compared to the previous year. The annual figures also revealed record sales of 4.5 trillion KRW, indicating a 6% growth over the prior year, underscoring the company's successful balance between existing and new intellectual properties. Notably, popular titles like 'MapleStory' and 'Dungeon & Fighter' contributed to stable revenue, while new releases such as 'Arc Raiders' demonstrated strong international market performance, despite setbacks from product issues like the 'probability error controversy' that resulted in refunds.
