The director of the State Forensic Medical Examination Center, Harasimjuks, has resigned after a decade, with Inga Martinova appointed as acting director while a recruitment process for the new position has begun.
Harasimjuks has stepped down from his role as the director of the State Forensic Medical Examination Center in Latvia after serving for 10 years. In his absence, Inga Martinova, the former deputy director, has been appointed as the acting director. This transitional appointment allows the center to maintain continuity in leadership while a formal recruitment process is initiated.
The State Chancellery announced a competition to fill the director position, as documented in the official publication 'Latvijas Vēstnesis.' The new director will receive a monthly salary of 5,300 euros before tax. Candidates wishing to apply must have an impeccable reputation and meet the legal requirements concerning state secrets to obtain the necessary permits. Additionally, a high academic degree or equivalent professional education in relevant fields is required.
Further qualifications for prospective candidates include a minimum of three years of leadership experience and substantial collaboration experience with various government bodies, municipalities, societies, and international organizations. An understanding of the health care system in Latvia, including its organization and funding mechanisms, is deemed essential, reflecting the complexity and importance of managing the center effectively within the public health context.
