Russia Attacks Kyiv with Missiles: Homes Damaged, There Are Injuries
Russian missile strikes have targeted Kyiv, causing damage to residential areas and resulting in injuries.
Ukrainian air forces have reported that Russian ballistic missiles were directed toward Kyiv around 2:20 AM local time, causing significant explosions in the capital city. These explosions were accompanied by power supply disruptions, affecting the city's infrastructure. According to reports from The Kyiv Independent, shortly after the missile strikes, Russian 'Shahed' drones also attacked various parts of the city, further escalating the situation.
In addition to Kyiv, the air forces warned that Russian missiles were aimed at Dnipro and Pavlohrad in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region. Rescue services confirmed that homes were damaged in the Darnytsia and Dniprovskiy districts of Kyiv. In Darnytsia, debris from an explosion impacted the facade and windows of a residential building, injuring one individual. Meanwhile, in Dniprovskiy district, drone debris fell near residential areas but did not result in casualties.
As the news unfolds, local officials are assessing the damage, with Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko highlighting the incidents in Holosiyivskyi and Desnyanskyi districts of the city.
