Repsol has announced the appointment of Jesús Chillón as the new country manager for its operations in Mexico. José Barreiro Perez-Pardo, the executive director of mobility at Repsol, praised Chillón's extensive background, which spans over 30 years in various operational and strategic roles across international markets.
Before this new role, Chillón was the director of business units in Colombia and Trinidad & Tobago, showcasing his ability to manage diverse economic landscapes. His previous experiences include overseeing business operations in Vietnam and Australia/Papua New Guinea, where he successfully navigated complex asset management and high-stakes negotiations with government entities. Through these roles, he has demonstrated a capacity for leading in areas of significant geopolitical sensitivity, which could prove beneficial for Repsol’s strategies in Mexico.
