On Wednesday, Microsoft announced the inauguration of two operational cloud and artificial intelligence data centers located in São Paulo, Brazil. This development was revealed by Priscyla Laham, the company's president in Brazil, during the Microsoft AI Tour event held in the city. In addition to the newly opened centers, there are plans for further expansions with additional units currently being constructed. Microsoft had previously committed to a massive investment of R$ 14.7 billion in cloud infrastructure and AI in Brazil, a plan initially detailed during the last AI Tour in 2024.
