VIDEO: Dog rescued after getting its head stuck in a wall in Amazonas

A dog named Kira was rescued by firefighters in Manaus, Brazil, after getting her head trapped between two concrete pillars for about an hour.

In Manaus, Brazil, a dog named Kira became trapped with her head wedged between two concrete pillars of a residential wall in the São José neighborhood. The incident occurred late at night when Kira, apparently startled by a nearby cat, got stuck while trying to investigate. Despite her owner's attempts to save her, they were unable to free the dog after over an hour of trying and had no choice but to call the local fire department for assistance.

The Amazonas Military Fire Department (CBMAM) responded to the call, sending a team to the scene equipped with the necessary tools to carry out a safe rescue. The firefighters utilized both a sledgehammer and a grinder to break part of the structure and cut through the rebar holding the pillars in place. The operation was successful, and after carefully creating enough space, they were able to extricate Kira without causing her further harm.

The rescue highlights the importance of quick response from emergency services in such unusual situations, as well as the potential dangers domestic animals face in urban environments. The dog's owner expressed relief and gratitude to the firefighters for their prompt and effective actions, ensuring Kira's safe return home after a harrowing ordeal.
