Former international model is investigated for drug trafficking and flees police in Florianópolis
A former international model is under investigation for drug trafficking in Florianópolis and managed to escape the police during a raid.
A former international model is currently being investigated for allegedly supplying drugs at high-end parties in Florianópolis. During a police operation on Tuesday, the suspect escaped law enforcement by jumping out of a window at his inn located on Praia da Joaquina, quickly entering a nearby forested area. As of Wednesday, while the police were still searching for him, his whereabouts remained unknown, but he was not yet classified as a fugitive by authorities.
The operation was led by the Drug Combat Department of the Criminal Investigation Department of Florianópolis (DECOD), which executed three search warrants in the course of their investigation. Police successfully seized significant quantities of hashish and cocaine, as well as a firearm without registration, fitted with an extended magazine and ammunition. The seized materials provided clear evidence of criminal activity, which will be integrated into the ongoing investigation.
The implications of this case highlight the ongoing issues related to drug trafficking in high-society areas, emphasizing how individuals from diverse backgrounds, including former models, can become embroiled in serious criminal activities. The police's ability to apprehend the suspect and the outcome of this investigation could set important precedents for future drug-related operations in Brazil, particularly in popular tourist destinations like Florianópolis.
