Ecuadorian soldiers deal a $120,000 blow to the Oliver Sinisterra group in Imbabura
A military operation in Imbabura resulted in a confrontation with members of the Oliver Sinisterra group, where Ecuadorian soldiers managed to secure their safety and inflict injuries on the group.
On February 11, a military operation took place in the El Verde sector of the Buenos Aires mining area, located in the Urcuquà canton of Imbabura, Ecuador. A clash occurred between Ecuadorian military personnel and members of the irregular armed group known as Oliver Sinisterra, which operates along the Colombian-Ecuadorian border. The engagement reportedly lasted for about fifteen minutes without any casualties reported among the Ecuadorian soldiers. However, injuries were reported on the side of the Colombian dissidents belonging to this criminal organization, which is known for undertaking illegal activities in the region.
